SimilarGroup was established in 2007 by Or Offer and Nir Cohen, who discovered the need for better ways to discover the web, a facility that would allow them to find more websites on the internet, not only the obvious ones. That same need has become SimilarGroup's goal.

The team at SimilarGroup is made up of top minds and creative, technological thinkers who established their careers at MAMRAM (the R&D center of the Israel Defence Forces leading Computer Division) and the Weizmann Institute of Science. All of SimilarGroup’s products are based on a unique technology and use sophisticated algorithms to analyze all aspects of every website on the Internet, providing users with an all inclusive search result.

Moshe LIchtman - Moshe Lichtman has spent 28 years creating software products for global markets. In September of 2011 he retired from Microsoft where he was Corporate VP responsible for several of its consumer businesses including its MSN business in the late 90s, its TV business in the mid-2000s and most recently its Israel R&D center which he built into one of the 3 largest centers outside the U.S. Moshe was also one of the leaders of the Windows 95 team and president of Softimage, a leader in media creation software. He's co-author of the best-selling book "The complete guide to the C language" and holds a BSc in Computer Engineering from the Technion and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School. Moshe is an active angel investor in Israeli startups.
